There is so much to compete with now when it comes to online marketing and social media. You must learn how to be a storyteller. Your story is how your viewers will remember your company and your persona is what will influence customers and help you increase brand awareness and attract new followers. Leverage your employees as storytellers also to tell the story of what goes on inside the company. They will be able to speak about what goes on in the company in an authentic manner without being salesy.
I heard that!
Twitter and Instagram provide you with tools for you to see who is talking about you and your brand, your competition or your industry in real time.
Leverage search data to find and engage with potential new followers or customers… reach out to them instead of waiting to respond to them once they make contact by replying to your post or mentions you. Humanize your brand to stay competitive.
Twitter Searches – Look Who’s Talking!
You can access Twitter’s search tool at the top of your homepage on desktop, or under the Discover tab on the Twitter mobile app. You can also navigate directly to Twitter Search.
To find out what people are saying about you, search for your name or your business name and any tweet containing those words will appear in your search stream. This will help you stay on top of those conversations and ensure you never miss an opportunity to WOW! your customers or address a potential complaint.
You can also save your searches by clicking on the Save link on the top right of your search. You can view your search whenever you like by clicking in the search bar and selecting the search you want from a dropdown menu that appears below.
According to Instagram’s Help Center, To mention someone, type @ followed immediately by their username (example: “great photo, @shayne!”). Don’t include a space between @ and the username. When you mention someone, they’ll get a notification in their Activity feed letting them know. By checking your notificatons for @mentions, you can easily see who is talking about your and your business. Every time someone mentions your business in a post or tags you in a photo, you will receive a notification. You will receive these notifications directly on your device.
Instagram only shows you the last 75 notifications. If you’re receiving multiple notifications for photo uploads and new followers, you could easily miss regular @ mentions so it’s important to check your notifications regularly throughout the day. The frequency will depend on the level of activity on your account.
